Both UL and ETL are world-class, renowned, laboratories that signify to homeowners, electricians, and inspectors that a product is safe and in compliance with North American standards.
Underwriters’ Laboratories (UL)
UL Listed®
The Underwriters Laboratory has been providing certification since 1988. Today, over 22 billion different products are marked with a UL label. A designation of UL Listed® means that UL has rigorously tested the lighting fixture to be compliant with any applicable technical and safety standards for use in North America. Electrical Testing Laboratories (ETL) – Intertek
ETL Listed®
The ETL Listed® mark is issued by Intertek, who is an OSHA recognized NRTL and is accredited as both a testing organization and a certification body. The ETL mark is proof that a product is in compliance to North American safety standards. Inspectors and code officials throughout North America accept the ETL Listed® mark as proof of product compliance to industry standards. Learn More
